Surgery

When Dr. Pillsbury recommends that you or your child requires surgery, you will be given a pre-operative office appointment for the business day prior to your appointment.  Our staff will call your insurance company to do the precertification required for surgery.  If there is a problem, we will contact you.  You are welcome to call the office and ask what we information we have obtained on your behalf, or ask at the pre-op appointment.

It is important that you make this appointment and follow all instructions leading up to your surgery including discontinuing certain medications you may be taking, not eating after a specified time before your surgery, and following all instructions for after your surgery.  This will all be written out for you to take home.  You will also be scheduled for a post-operative office appointment to check on your results.  It is vital that you keep and make this appointment in order to receive the optimal results from your surgery.

Dr. Pillsbury is aware that some patients would like a second opinion on surgery recommended.  This is not a problem for us and we will be happy to make the appointment for you with any physician of your choice, or we will suggest one for you.  Please let us know if you would like us to do this.
